ASSOFIBRE is the Association of Federchimica which represents Italian man-made fibre manufacturers. Fifteen companies are part of the association with an annual turnover of 1.9 billion Euro representing about 90% of total production.
The Association, which is the link between the chemical industry in which fibres are produced and the textile industry to which the fibres are delivered, deals with problems of specific interest to the chemical fibres industry and gives assistance on a technical and economic level to associated companies as well as
cares for the sector's image and development.
The production of member companies regards artificial filament yarns (viscose, acetate, cupro); synthetic filament yarns and staples (polyamide, polyester, acrylic, polypropylene and elastan) that are employed into apparel, furnishing and industrial uses. |
