Albert Dickens N.D.D. Manchester College of Art, Painting and Design also attended Edinburgh College of Art part-time. I worked in Manchester designing textiles for fashion and furnishing fabrics, this period created a lifelong interest in textures and effects of all kinds. After spending some time in Manchester I came to Lancaster to work in the wallcovering industry. During this time I developed my connection with a design agency in Germany, and after moving to Scotland to work on floor covering design for a few years I moved back to Lancaster. After spending a short time in wallcoverings again I decided to go freelance.
